The Executive Chairman of Yala Local Government Council, Hon. Barr. Fabian O Ogbeche, has added another feather to his cap, as he was named among one of the recipients of the Nigeria Local Government Development Award as the 3rd best performed Local Government Chairman in Cross River State and one of the most outstanding in Nigeria.
The event which was held at the International Conference Center, Abuja, was one of its kind, as it was conducted and organised for the 774 Local Government Councils and Development Areas in Nigeria by the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter Governmental Affairs, Abuja led by the Minister H.E (Sen) Dr. George Akume, to Spur Local Government Councils for optimal performance
Also in attendance at the event, was the Honourable Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, the Senate and House Committee Chairmen for Local Government and Inter Governmental Affairs with DG’s and Chairmen of Commission’s and Board’s as Resource persons in the two days summit.
The award was received on behalf of the Executive Chairman by His Special Adviser on Peace and Security Matters, Mr. Innocent Odey.
Recall that Hon. Fabian Ogbeche sometime last year, bagged the ICONIC PILLAR OF GRASSROOTS DEMOCRACY AWARD by ALGON Reporters and one of the best performing Chairmen in the areas of Education and Social Welfare in Nigeria by Local Government Merit Award (LOGMA) in Abuja.
Hon. Ogbeche appreciated God for granting him the opportunity to serve while appreciating his family, stakeholders, management team, executives and the legislative arm for their unflinching support for a greater Yala LG.
