…says the era of Sweet Prince has come to stay
The Deputy Speaker, Cross River State Assembly, Hon Sylvester Agabi Jnr has congratulated the Cross River State Governor, His Excellency, Sen Prince Bassey Otu over his resounding victory at the Court of Appeal, sitting in Lagos State.
Hon Agabi Jnr, who expressed excitement over the Appeal Court judgement also congratulated the Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Peter Odey for affirmed victory, noting that the era of Sweet Prince has come to stay in Cross River State.
He said the appellate court has again affirmed the overwhelming victory of the People’s Governor in the March 18, 2023 Governorship Election.
The Deputy Speaker, while thanking the Appeal Court justices for standing by the will of the people of Cross River State, who voted massively across party line for the victory of Governor Otu, applauded the Governor for the effective take off of his People-First Agenda that has restored hope and confidence of Cross Riverians.
He stated further that the Appeal Court Victory today is a resounding victory for the great people of Cross River State and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Cross River State.
While noting that this judicial victory will help the Governor to focus on delivering on his mandate, he assured of his loyalty and commitment to the success of the Governor Otu-led administration.
It would be recalled that the Appeal filed by Sen. Sandy Onor of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the Court of Appeal challenging the judgment of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Lagos was dismissed for for lacking in merit. And subsequently affirmed the election of Governor Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, as Governor of Cross River State.
