The Chairman of Opal Group and a notable stakeholder of Project Cross River State, High Chief Higgins Peters has lost his younger sister, Mrs Juliana Akpowu Ezekiel (Nee Peters). She was aged 57 years.
Her death, which occurred on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 after battle with cancer was announced by High Chief Higgins Peters in a statement he personally signed, tagged “Notice of Death, and made available to journalists today.
According to the statement, vigil night in her honour will hold on January 19 and she will be buried on January 20, 2024 at her ancestral home in Oba Okpoma, Yala LGA of Cross River State.
The statement reads,
Notice of Death;
It is with deep sense of loss and sadness that I announce the untimely death of my immediate younger sister Mrs Juliana Akpowu Ezekiel ( Nee Peters) whose sad incident occurred on the 3rd of January 2024.
Juliana had a brief battle with an aggressive brain cancer even as the family did everything humanly possible to keep her alive but had to submit to the will of the almighty and all knowing God.
Juliana was 57 years, a wife, mother of Eight, strong willed, a successful businesswoman, kind and generous, a Christian women leader with deep Christian life.
The family shall count on your prayers at this time as we mourn our loss.
The family has therefore decided to fix the funeral arrangements as follows:
Vigil night: 19th January 2024
Funeral service and interment 20th January 2024:
Venue: the family ancestral home Oba Okpoma, Yala Local Government, cross river state.
