Youths under the auspices of Competent Governance for Accountability and Civil Trust (CGACT), and Urhobo, South – South Peace Mission (USSPM), has urged the Federal Government to give the Digital Switch Over (DSO), project to a Nigerian firm, Pinnacle Communication Ltd, for a revolution in the nation’s broadcasting industry.
This was the assertion contained in a statement jointly signed by President, CGACT, Comr. Omoba Michael and the Deputy Chairman, USSPM, Comr. Godwin Erheriene, where they noted that if the DSO project is completed by Pinnacle Communication Ltd, a lot of young people stand to benefit maximally based on what Pinnacle Communication Ltd has achieved under its Chairman, Lucky Omoluwa, after the official launch of the project in Jos, Plateau State, by the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed.
According to them Pinnacle being led by Omoluwa and as a man with incredible track record in executing the DSO project, Pinnacle Communication has the capacity to deliver on the project and also being an indigenous company in the broadcast industry.
“We urge President Muhammadu Buhari, to please consider competent indigenous companies in the broadcast industry in our country to handle the Digital Switch Over, DSO, project, and based on your policy on zero corruption and fight against all forms of corruption and injustice.
“We want to draw the attention of Mr President to Pinnacle Communications Ltd and its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Sir Luck Omoluwa, who has championed the actualization of a successful Digital Switch Over under your administration.
“We also applaud the Chairman/ CEO of Pinnacle Communication Ltd, Sir Lucky Omoluwa, for a job well-done, and thus far in achieving a befitting and standard digital switched over.
The statement further reads, “For his contribution towards the youth development and empowerment. It is important to note that when this DSO project is completed we the youths stand to benefit a lot from it, this is why we will continue to give our total support to Pinnacle Communication ably led by Sir Lucky Omoluwa, a man full of incredible track record.
“Pinnacle communication has the capacity to deliver on this DSO project. It is worthy to note that this DSO project was actually designed by a Nigerian and it’s being implemented by a Nigerian this, with no doubt is known as promoting local contents and we call on all well meaning Nigerians to support this loadable project.”
