Group To Honour SwissGolden World No.1 John Mukoro, Boroh, Others

The World Habitat Ambassadors Foundation (WHAF) has concluded plans to honour Swiss Golden World No.1 John Mukoro, Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brigadier – General Paul Boroh (Rtd), Georgia State Representative, Hon. James Beverly, and others with Humanitarian & Philanthropic Award for Excellence 2017.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Principal Consultant, WHAF, Ambassador Hillary Emoh, where he said the essence of the award was to honour and celebrate effort by outstanding individuals and organisations that have contributed to the growth and development of the society.

He said: “The essence of the awards is to honor, celebrate and appreciate the effort of certain individuals, organizations, corporate bodies, and government parastatals that have shown dedication to the growth and development of the society and have being in the forefront of addressing peculiar and generic issues affecting urbanization, development, the environment, human rights, healthcare, security, and human capital development by providing practical, innovative solutions to the current needs, with a particular focus on decent, affordable, healthy and sustainable housing projects.

“Each year WHAF in partnership with other international organization organizes the World Habitat Humanitarian and Philanthropic Award for Excellence and the Miss UN-World Habitat contest.

“List of distinguished men and women nominated to receive the World Habitat Humanitarian & Philanthropic Award for Excellence 2017: Celebrating Global Excellence include: Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brigadier – General Paul T. Boroh (Rtd), Evangelist (HON) Michael Diden (Ejele), High Chief (AMB) Gabriel Oyibode Foundation, President/Founder; Gabriel Oyibode Foundation, The Deputy Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. According to him WHAF is a nongovernmental organisation dedicated to achieving the set-goals for urban development, sustainable shelter, and the Sustainable Ddevelopment Goals which calls to ‘Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.’

“WHAF is working to help people access decent healthy and secure housing through identifying innovative housing policy and practice, promoting these ideas, and supporting the exchange and transfer of good practices. WHAF has over the years being working in collaboration with other agencies, organizations, and institutions in Africa, Canada and the United States of America”, he said.
