The Cross River State Governor, Senator Prof. Ben. Ayade yesterday, led a team of Cross Riverians on a historic visit to CSS Farms in Gora, Nasarawa State.
The visit by Governor Ayade was to flag-off the 2022 training of farmers in Modern Techniques of Farming for Wealth Creation and to familiarize the Cross River State trainees of the program, urging them to utilize the training program in order to boost the economy of the state and nation through agriculture.
The Governor was received by the Chairman CSS Farms, Prof. John Kennedy Opara, OFR, JP, and his team.
While on the visit, Governor Ayade was led on a tour around the serene environment of CSS Farms and Resorts, in line with the governor’s desire and commitment in strengthening rural economies; ensuring food security and improving the quality of life of Cross Riverians.
In his remarks, Governor Ayade applauded the CSS Farms team led by Prof. Opara for his efforts in creating an impact on the agro-allied industry and extending knowledge to the youths, assuring the Chairman of the state government’s partnership in moving the Group forward.
Highpoint of the occasion was interaction with trainees and commissioning of the Foods Factory by His Excellency, Governor Ben Ayade.
