Ex-MILAD Ukpo Chairs Committee For Creation Of Ogoja State

The former military administrator of old Rivers State, HE General Anthony Ukpo (rtd) has been nominated by Cross River North Elders Forum as chairman of a 13-man Committee for the creation of Ogoja State.

In a terse statement, the Committee will be inaugurated on Monday, October 5, 2020 in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

The statement reads, “Following the aspiration/genuine age long agitation of the people of old OGOJA PROVINCE, nominations were called and made and in consultation with the Secretariat of the Elders Forum with the approval of the Chairman, the following persons are hereby nominated as committee members for the creation of Ogoja State.
