ABOUT YALA ACHIEVERS AWARDS

The Yala Achievers Award is a well known Award ceremony which was borne out as an initiative to identify, recognise and celebrate sons and daughters of Yala nation in Cross River State, who have distinguished themselves in various spheres impacting the lives of fellow Yalas, their communities, the state and nation at large with developmental initiatives carried out by themselves as their contribution to move the people forward without waiting for government to do it.

Interestingly, the Yala Achievers Award started in 2015 with it’s first edition that have really brought out well meaning and patrotic personalities that have done noble in their own way to add value to the lives of the people.

The Yala Achevers’ Award ceremony is is the brain child of Mr Odey Jacob (aka Odey D Uncommon Comedian) CEO of MOJ Entertainment, with professionals in event orgainsation and management over the years.

This fourth edition of the Award is coming up at this time because of the suspension of the 2020 edition due to the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus, COVID-19 pandemic that globally affected plans and events in 2020.

But we are grateful to God who has seen us through to 2021 amid the devastating impact of COVID-19.

This 4th edition of the Yala Achievers’ Award promises to be bigger and glamourous with new innovations and broad base outreach to deserving personalities and organisations. We have decided to expand the scope by including perosnalities who are not of Yala origin but are friends of Yala who have distingusihed themselves in adding value in different areas to move Yala forward.

We believe that the Award ceremony is coming at a right time, especially now people are yearning to see and be part of the development process, and we believe with the award more will be done to galvanise development in Yala land.

Eminent personalities from all works of life will grace the occasion.

Thank you and God bless you.
