…wants Owan Enoh to return back to PDP
The Director General, Cross River State Due Process and Price Intelligence Bureau, Hon Barr Alphonsus Ogar Eba has reacted to the verdict of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Calabar, saying the petition was an unnecessary distraction to auto-crusing drive of the Prof (Sir) Ben Ayade-led administration in the state.
Eba, who stated this during a chat with journalists in Calabar, the Cross River State capital called on the candidate of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 9, 2019 governorship election, Senator John Owan Enoh, to return back to the ruling People Democratic Party (PDP) insisting that PDP is his home.
It would be recalled that the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal had on Thursday in a landmark judgement upheld the victory of the state governor, Sir Ayade.
Eba, popularly called Okadigbo and the founder of Okadigbo Vaguard, while urging all Cross Riverians to come join hands with the digital governor to make Cross River great again, stressed that, there was no need appealing such a “solid judgement”.
He said, “All glory to God and all thanks to the people of Cross River State, whose wonderful support on the 9th day of March, 2019 has been given a legal seal by the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal today.
“Of course the governor, Prof Sir Ben Ayade, is a governor that is already on track, who has set in motion things to be done and this election petition was an unnecessary distraction.
“So it is time now to remain focused and extend hands of fellowship to those who have left us because they are a part of us. They have always been with us.
“And like the saying that a rat that runs into the hole of a crab must either developed a reverse gear or stay in there to fight, all Senator John Owan has suffered in this whole matter today as you can see, is the fact that he went to dine with strange bed fellows. PDP is his home and we are extending our hands of fellowship that he should return back. The umbrella is big enough to accommodate everybody. I tell you the truth if he was here he would have been a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria today.
“And there is no need going to appeal, it is too solid a judgement. Come let’s put our hands together to make Cross River State great again.”
