As the crusade of Great Wonders continue to sweep across the South East States of Nigeria with the General Superintendent (GS) of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor Dr. William Kumuyi, leading the revival, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi moved the entire Government House and State House of Assembly to the venue of the crusade at Abakiliki, the Ebonyi State capital on Monday.
The Governor who travelled to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, said he has to cut short his movement and return to be in attendance of the one day power-packed crusade.
Ebonyi State top government functionaries present at the crusade include the Deputy Governor, Kelechi Igwe, the Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Francis Nifuru, the Deputy Speaker, Odefa Odefa, the state judges, commissioners, chairmen of boards, all the local government chairmen, and others.
The Governor expressed faith and joy over the visit of the GS to the state and said the crusade was very timely when the people of the state were really wallowing in hardship and also increased rate of social vices.
He prayed that God will turn things around in the state as the GS prays for the state.
The number one citizen of the state sang in Igbo language and offered praises to God for the wonders the state will soon experience.
In his speech he also appealed to the Man of God to return in December to see the harvest of God’s blessings after he (Kumuyi) through prayer rain down the blessings.
“After today sir, Ebonyi State will have more rains and you are now a blessing to us. As you pray things won’t be the same in our state. We want you to come by December for the harvest. We also appreciate and thank our mummy (Esther Kumuyi) for coming to the state”, Umahi stated.
After a short exhortation after the Monday Bible Study, Pastor Kumuyi, fondly called GS by members of the church, read from the Book of Numbers in the Holy Bible prayed for love, peace, protection and prosperity of the state, and for various spiritual and health challenges of the participants.
Pastor Kumuyi moved his crusade train last week Tuesday from the North Central States and Federal Capital Territory, Abuja to the South East.
