The PLUG mantra of the newly State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Cross River State, Barr. Alphonsus Ogar Eba is speedily percolating into the hearts of sincere and committed members of ruling party.
Yesterday’s meeting of the Chairman Elect in company of Mr Ogbiji Nyiam and Barr. Victor Okangbe with some hitherto aggrieved members of the party which include Mr John Jallo, Mr Yinka Ricket. The convivial atmosphere and the resolve of all the gladiators to work with Barr. Alphonsus Ogar Eba has been seen as the final icing on the cake.
The Chairman Elect, Barr. Eba who said his major instrument remains his PLUG message of Peace, Love, Unity and Growth of APC remains the best way out.
In response to the alleged treat by security agents to arrest party members for alleged impersonation and moves by some Ward Executives to suspend some members for declaring themselves pararell excos, the chairman Elect dismissed the treat and stated that he has appealed to all organs of the party to give peace a chance. He further stated that security agencies should please allow him resolve all the grievances amicably. According to the chairman elect, his ongoing political evangelism is not just for the righteous but also for those whom have sinned against the party’ and being a son of God, he has come to win souls for APC.
The chairman Elect declared that his target is to bring fresh 1,000,000 (One million) members into the APC fold.
The chairman further declared that achieving such feat, requires the co-operation and collaboration of every member of the party including the good, bad and ugly.
The Chairman used the opportunity to thank His Excellency, Sen. Prof Ayade and all members of the party for the confidence reposed in him and all members of Excos and promised not to let the party down.
The Chairman Elect also used the opportunity to send a strong message to all appointees of Government who are not active members of the APC to get themselves committed as indolence, perfidy indiscipline and all forms of anti party activities will not be tolerated. He however promised to reward all hardworking and committed members of the party.
