C’River APC Chair Hails Tinubu, Otu Over Christmas, New Year Gifts To Cross Riverians

The Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC), Cross River State Chapter, Alphonsus Ogar Eba esq JP, has hailed President Bola Tinubu and the Governor of Cross River State, Apostle Senator Bassey Otu, over the Christmas gifts given to the people of Cross River State to celebrate during the yuletide.

Speaking while handing over the gifts worth millions of Naira to the people of the State including the Hausa, Yoruba, Ibo and other communities residing in the State at the ward level irrespective of political parties, religion, and region, Eba said the President and State Governor feel the pains of the people and are of great concern of their plight, therefore, deemed it fit to intervene by giving them various foodstuff including bags of rice, cartoons of maggi, salt, vegetable oil, pepper, yards of wrappers, and others.

He distributed the food items including three bags of rice per polling units courtesy of the Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu, and the yards of wrappers tagged ‘unity wrapper’ were gifted to the State by President Bola Tinubu in his Echumofana Ward and across other wards of Yala LGA.

According to him, the wrappers were distributed to both indigenes and non-indigenes across the State.

He said: “The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is feeling the pains of what you are going through as citizens.

“But what Mr President is doing is what will help this country, and also what the governor is doing what will benefit our State and the nation at large.

“Now the Port Harcourt Refinery is functioning and fuel pump price is reducing, also the Warri Refinery has started production, and many other things that would take away the hardship is already on the way.

“We appeal to you to support the President’s effort and what our Governor is doing to make life better.”

He also made the people know that the Governor’s wife, Her Excellency, Bishop Eyaowan Bassey Otu, gave them bags of beans, packs of tomatoes, jerri-cans of oil palm, cartoons of Maggie, packs of table-salt to celebrate the Christmas and New Year seasons.

However, he expressed pain over the death of his father and said he does not wish anybody such because he does not have anybody as his enemy.

The beneficiaries showered encomium and expressed joy of the food items that enabled them to celebrate the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
