A Non- governmental organization, The Transforming Church and Harvest house Mercy Foundation has call on well to do individuals to continue to impact on the lives of the less privileged ones in the society to cushion the effects Coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking at the event, The Chief responsibility officer of the foundation and Lead pastor of The Transforming Church (TTC) Rev. Sam and Pastor Mrs Mary Oye in conjunction with Partners provided palliatives to the people and residents of Abuja to cushion the effect of restrictions aimed at containing the spread of Coronavirus to over 1700 residents of Gwarimpa community of the Fct.
He said the gesture was meant to extend a hand of love and arm giving to the poeple considering the hardship that is prevelent as a result of Covid 19.
According to Pastor Oye the donations is another in the series of Humanitarian projects of the foundation and the transforming Church since the emergence of Coronavirus ravaging the world. Humanity and compassion are part of the tenets of Christianity hence the need for Nigerians to assist the needy irrespective of religious affiliations.
Also, Speaking at the donations the Executive Pastor of the Transforming Church center Gwarimpa, Pastor John Ibeh described the gesture as apt and timely in view of the the alarming rate of poverty in the society attributed to all form of social vices.
Materials donated include, thousands of facemask, hand sanitizers, hand gloves as well as bags of rice Noddles among others.
This is not the first time Pastor Sam Oye and the Mercy House Foundation, generously dispensed the milk of human kindness to the people following Government lockdown since March 2020. Since they assumed Ministry, it has been their practice to share welfare materials to members and non members who need them, empower others to start their businesses and execute developmental projects as part of the Church’s corporate responsibility to her host community. It is Christianity in action and he also call on the Fct Minister to be part of the next palliative, the church will be giving out.
The beneficiaries thanks the donor for the gesture and prayed God to reward them and they really appreciated, The Transforming Church for such kind gestures and that, They truely have the love of God in them because if they don’t know God, they can’t share with others because there are many who have the money but they can’t give it to people who are in need and the word of God admonished us to help and do good to people just like The Transforming Church has been doing.
They prayed to God to bless Pastor Sam Oye and their partners especially their families the more and give them the abilities to do more. The beneficiaries called and appealed to the well to do and wealthy individuals, corporate bodies and even the government to partner, support and join effort with The Transforming Church so they can do more by reaching out to more people who are gravely affected due to this pandemic.
