The National Agency for the Great Green Wall will be the Center of National Attraction as the Civil Society Network for Good Governance is set to pay it an all-important visit.
this was disclosed on Tuesday by the National President of the Organization Mr. Adefila Kamal at an inspection tour of Facilities at the Lagos Airport. He said the civil Society Organizations that comprise the Coalition are desirous in knowing more about the Agency and how it operates.
He expressed displeasure at how some critical agencies of government are not doing enough to educate the populace on their activities and how it affects the living conditions of the people. He further said others are clearly going out of their mandate by adding “Youths Empowerments” to their mandates even when there are statutory agencies charged with doing that.
When asked his opinion about the performance of the Agency, he said the assessment tour of Facilities and Auditor’s opinion will decide that but generally, there is a strong relationship between Environment and food security, and if Mr. President’s agenda on food security is to be taken seriously, then enough attention should be given to the Great Green Wall.
