Blue Stone Gas and Power Limited, a leading Gas company, (including Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) ) has commended the President of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to the development of the gas sector as well as the roll out of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) infrastructure across Nigeria.
The Managing Director of the company Mr. Etim Inyang Jnr. communicated this recently following the broadcast by the president on the nationwide protest. The company further commended the president for the administration’s partnership with the private sector to achieve set targets
In his speech, President Tinubu highlighted the country’s reliance on oil-based petrol and the need to harness gas resources to power the economy.
He said “To address this, we immediately launched our Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (CNG) to power our transportation economy and bring costs down. This will save over two trillion Naira a month, being used to import PMS and AGO and free up our resources for more investment in healthcare and education.” he added.
He further stated “We have started the distribution of conversion kits and setting up of conversion centres across the country in conjunction with the private sector. We believe that this CNG initiative will reduce transportation costs by approximately 60 per cent and help to curb inflation.”

Prince Deji Afolabi, Executive Director of the company said “Our company and it’s technical partners, Congas is in advance discussion with an indigenous oil company to set up a Gas Processing Facility that will guarantee steady gas supply for the CNG Roll Out, Gas to Power and Gas to Home schemes.”
He further stated that with the Working Understanding which Blue Stone Gas and Power Limited has with Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), (the firm is set to provide thousands of CNG powered Commercial buses and tricycles) the transportation sector in Nigeria will soon experience a new lease of life, with citizens paying less in cost of transportation.
