…the stolen mandate has been recovered, justice delayed is not justice denied
A frontline support group for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Cross River State, BAT Advocates on Thursday congratulated one of its Board of Trustee Chairman, Engr. Dr. Thomas Aruku over his emphatic victory at the Court of Appeal Lagos State Division.
Describing the victory as an affirmation of the mandate the good people of Ogoja State Constituency generously gave to Dr Aruku (aka Stainless), State Assembly candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 18, 2023 elections, the Director -General of BAT Advocates, Comrade Raphael Odu added, “the stolen mande of our BoT Chairman, has been gallantly recovered”.
According to him, “The abracadabra of three is more than seven, where the PDP candidate who won in only three wards was announced winner against our APC candidate who won in seven wards has now been discarded and thrown into the ignoble dustbin of history.
Odu (aka Defence) said, “The Appeal Court victory has sparked excitement across the length and breath of Ogoja through to Calabar and has restored our confidence in the judiciary as the hope of the common man. Indeed justice delayed is not justice denied.
“With our hearts full of joy and pleasant excitement, we congratulate our own dear BoT Chairman, Engr Dr. Thomas Aruku for this massive victory, which will change the political dynamism in Ogoja Local Government Area. We congratulate our great party, APC for it is indeed a season of sweet sounds of victory.
“We also seize this opportunity to congratulate the Cross River State Governor, His Excellency Sen Prince Bassey Otu over his victory as the Court of Appeal, yesterday and expressed it’s continued support for the success of his People-First Agenda. The season of development and empowerment of Cross Riverians has come to stay.”
The notable group called on the good people of Ogoja to remain supportive of their son, the latest Member of Parliament, Engr Dr Aruku as he get set to begin his legislative business and delivery of democratic dividends to them.
It would be recalled that the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos State on Thursday affirmed the verdict of the State House of Assembly Tribunal which declared the APC candidate Engr. Dr. Thomas Aruku as winner of election to represent the good people of Ogoja State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly.
