The Special Adviser on Youths to the Interim Administrator/CEO of the NDDC has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, the Uncommon Minister, Senator Godswill Akpabio CON and his boss Dr. Efiong Akwa on the commissioning of the magnificent 1050 bed space hostel at the University of Uyo to alleviate the lives of Nigerian students.
In a congratulatory message officially signed by the former Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide President, former Bayelsa State Commissioner of Youth and also former Commissioner of Environment, Engr. Udengs Eradiri which reads “I am super excited about this project which is a world class facility to accommodate students under a conducive environment.
I must say that this is one of the over 1900 abandoned projects across the Niger Delta which my boss has picked up to complete under the ministerial supervision of the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio.”
The statement went further to say “The timely delivery of this project is what we need in the Niger Delta if truly we want our region to be developed which I must commend my boss for ensuring laudable projects like this sees the light of the day. May I also say that the NDDC is the only government agency that has in a single year delivered three world class projects for the President to commission namely; the 13 storey Headquarters building which was abandoned for 21years, the Special Protection Unit 64 flats accommodation for the Nigerian Police Force in Rivers State which was also an abandoned project for 11years and now this 1050 bed space hostel; indeed the NDDC is now living its dream of making a difference
