Residence of the nation’s capital city, Abuja on Friday witnessed the first rain of 2016 in March.
The rain, which started showing signs on Thursday evening, poured down heavily on Friday evening in the early hours of Saturday.
The rain was believed to have brought a great relief to Abuja residence and as an answer to the prayers of many after experiencing the unbearable heat of the scorching sun in the previous month’s and weeks.
Residence of Mpape, a suburb town of the Bwari Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) were not left out of the blessing that followered the showers, a resident informed TheLeaderng.
However, it could be ascertained whether other major cities in Abuja experienced the first rain of the year.
