The Nigerian Women, for time immemorial, have contributed towards the development of our nation.
Their inclusion and involvement in governance, in strategic positions is very important.
It is a tradition that in each government, office of the FIRST LADY is occupied by the wife of the President.
Through initiatives and pet projects conceptualized by First Ladies of Nigeria in the past, women particularly, the less privileged and the nation at large benefit from interventions and the projects of the First Ladies of this nation.
Indeed, the contributions of First Ladies to the development of the society, particularly in the areas of social/community development, health, education, and gender-based violence cannot be underplayed.
To further give Women a sense of responsibility in governance, there is every need for their deliberate inclusion. This in my own opinion, necessitated the need for creation, even if ceremonially just like that of the First Lady, an office for the SECOND LADY, (WIVES OF THE VICE PRESIDENT & DEPUTY GOVERNORS).
Women across all parties and formations should collectively champion this, even if it means giving support to any candidate who will execute this idea. It is indeed ONE-STEP-MOVING-FORWARD.
The bigger questions are,
