The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, on Thursday said he would not engage his former ally and House member from Kano State, Abdulmumin Jibrin, in political mudslinging, saying he won’t respond to jokes. Former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu, on Friday defected back to the All Progressives Congress. The Niger Delta Avengers on Friday faulted claims by President Muhammadu Buhari that his administration was holding talks with the militants for possible compromise. The militants had claimed responsibilities for series of attacks on oil facilities across the region in recent times.
